This Doppio Passo Riserva is produced according to a classic process in which the grapes are harvested in two passes and fermented on the skin: one part when the grapes are fully ripe, the other as a later harvest. This noble Riserva is then matured in oak barrels for 9 months.
The result is a smooth, full-bodied and profound wine that marries seductive aromas of wild berries and cherries with a fine wood note and a hint of vanilla. Due to its subtle fruity sweetness, Doppio Passo Riserva goes perfectly with strong cheese.
IT ALL BEGAN WITH A VERY ITALIAN GRAPE. AND A GREAT PASSION FOR WINE-MAKING.

The Apulia Region
What started as a family business
Where our Wine Grows
the Apulia region is one of the oldest wine-growing regions in the world and one of the reasons for its fame is the aromatic primitivo grape.
Elegant, intense, fruity and matured under the Apulian sun, it is the basis of the Doppio Passo Primitivo and the core of its success story.
In 1928 near Venice by Maria and Carlo Botter has become an international success story culminating in the formation of a joint venture between Botter SPA and the German wine marketing powerhouse Rotkäppchen-Mumm Sektkellereien GmbH in September 2020.
Drinking great wine does not have to be complicated. That is why we are dedicated to upholding consistently high standards in both quality and taste, because that is what Doppio Passo stands for:
High quality wines that are approachable and offer a great taste experience for everyone.
All wines come from the regions where their defining grapes grow best while the doppio Passo Primitivo comes from the heart of Apulia, the doppio Passo Grillo is made from Grillo grapes that grow in Sicily's Mediterranean climate and our prosecco grapes are harvested in the region of Veneto.
